Field of Action 3 focuses on strengthening capacities of farmers, cooperatives, producer groups, agro enterprese and other value chain actors. These actors are supported in applying climate-resilient agriculture (CRA) measures tested in action research (FA2) as well  as already proven CRA measures. Measures include for examplelocally adapted varieties for agro-forestry or solar powered drip irrigation to render their production more climate-resilient and water-efficient. In addition to sustainable production on field level, the project supports downstream processes of the respective value chains, especially improved transport, cooling and processing. Likewise, these groups are supported in better connecting their production with markets and in applying sustainable marketing.

FA3 gives high priority to the integration of disadvantaged groups as well as women and people with disability in the training activities as well as in the installation of demonstration plots on existing farmland. Cooperatives or producer groups of women are prioritized partners.
